ATM Cards







Debit Cards are available to members all members who have a share draft/checking account at this credit union.
 
The Visa Check Card is like a check, only better. You can use the check card at any merchant displaying the VISA logo. Below is some information found on the application including the Electronic Funds Transfer Agreement and Disclsure the TYPES OF TRANSFERS AND LIMITS ON TRANSFERS, and a list of FEES and DISCLOSURES.

 
 
 
The following provisions are disclosures made under and in compliance with the Electronic Funds Transfer Act. The disclosures should be read carefully. They explain certain conditions under which the card is offered, as well as the protection afforded users of the card. These disclosures constitute part of your contractual agreement with the credit union.
 
 
TYPES OF AVAILABLE TRANSFERS AND LIMITS ON TRANSFERS
 

You may use your card with your personal identification number (PIN) to

  1. withdraw cash from your checking account or
  2. pay for purchases at places that have agreed to accept the card
  3. balance inquiries are not available at this time.

You may withdraw cash or make purchases up to the balance in the account(s) up to a maximum of $300 a day for ATM withdrawals and $1,000 for point-of-sale transactions. Monday through Friday you may withdraw cash or make purchases up to the balance in the account(s) up to a maximum of $300 a day for ATM withdrawals and $300 for point-of-sale transactions. Transactions on Saturday and Sunday will be combined and subject to a maximum of $300 for ATM withdrawals and $300 for point-of-sale transactions.

 
DISCLOSURE OF CHARGES FOR TRANSFERS OR RIGHT TO MAKE TRANSFERS
 
 
We will charge you $1 for each cash withdrawal you make using your card at an automated teller machine. We will charge you $1 for each purchase you make using your card. We will charge you $1 for each balance inquiry attempted.
 
 
DISCLOSURE OF RIGHT TO RECEIVE DOCUMENTATION OF TRANSFERS
 
 
A transaction receipt will be available to you at the time you make any transaction involving withdrawals or transfers to or from your account using an automated teller machine or point-of-sale terminal that accepts your card. You will receive a monthly statement for each account accessed by your card. If no electronic transactions have occurred during a particular month, you will in any event receive a statement at least quarterly.
 
 
DISCLOSURE OF LIABILITY FOR FAILURE TO MAKE TRANSACTIONS
 
 
If we do not complete a transfer to or from an account on time or in the correct amount according to our agreement with you, we will be liable for your losses or damages. However, there are some exceptions. We will not be liable, for instance: if through no fault of ours you do not have enough money in the account to make the transfer; if the automated teller machine where you are making the transfer does not have enough cash; if the terminal system or system was not working properly and you knew about the breakdown when you started the transfer; and if circumstances beyond our control (such as fire or flood) prevent the transfer, despite reasonable precautions that we have taken. There may be other exceptions stated in other agreements stated in other agreements between us. Please examine all such agreements carefully.
 
 
DISCLOSURE OF TELEPHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESSES TO BE NOTIFIED IN EVENT OF UNAUTHORIZED TRANSFER

DISCLOSURE OF BUSINESS DAYS
 
 
Our business days are Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Holidays are not included.
 
 
DISCLOSURE OF LIABILITY FOR UNAUTHORIZED TRANSFERS
 
 
Contact us at once if you believe your card or PIN has been lost or stolen. Telephoning is the best way of keeping your possible losses down. Unless precautions are taken, under certain conditions you could lose all the money in your account plus, if applicable, additional losses resulting from an overdraft line of credit. If you tell us within two business days of when you discover a loss or theft, you can lose no more than $50 of someone uses the card without your permission. If you do not tell us within two business days, and we can prove we could have stopped someone from using that card without your permission if you had told us, you could lose as much as $500. Also, if any account statement was mailed to you, you may not get back any money you lost after 60 days if we can prove that we could have stopped someone from taking the money if you had told us in time. Unless Texas law is pre-empted by the Federal Electronic Fund Transfer Act, your liability for unauthorized point-of-sale transactions may be limited to $500 even if you fail to notify us of a loss or theft.

We must hear from you no later than 60 days after we send the FIRST statement on which the problem or error appeared.
  1. Tell us your name and account number.
  2. Describe the error or the transfer you are unsure about, and explain as clearly as you can why you believe it is in error or why you need more information.
  3. Tell us the dollar amount of the suspected error.
